The Simpsons Lego officially announced and will be available in February

When we excitedly reported that The Simpsons Lego would be arriving in April 2014 we never dared hope it would land early, but it will. The Simpsons Lego has been officially announced for a February release.
Lego teamed up with Twentieth Century Fox to create the official Simpsons Lego. The first set will go on sale in February with more to follow in May, making 16 figures in total.

Fox will be airing a special Lego episode of The Simpsons to go with the full release of the plastic counterparts in May. All the characters will be in Lego form for the episode - but whether that's animated Lego or drawn isn't clear.
In February you'll be able to buy the Simpsons House with Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa, Maggie and Flanders for $199 in the US, £179 in the UK. That includes plenty of props like Bart's comics and the Simpsons TV and couch.

The Simpsons Lego in the works

We first heard in March that Lego was working with 20th Century Fox to release The Simpsons-branded minifigs and sets, and now there's a new report that details what the entire range will allegedly entail.
The licensed range had been rumoured to include various buildings, characters etc, but  it has a few specifics coming straight from an unnamed insider at a "special Fox/Lego event."

Lego is reportedly set to release a collection much like the Olympic minifigures. It will feature series 13 blind-bag minifigures, with 16 Simpsons characters in total. Among the characters are Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa, Apu, Chief Wiggum, Moe, Itchy and Scratchy. Expect a release sometime in May 2014.
As for the Lego set with Brickset and Bricks & Bloks, Nerdly could only confirm that The Simpsons' house will be available for purchase via the Lego website and Lego stores in April 2014.
Last, but not least - the upcoming Lego range will debut in conjunction with a special Simpsons Lego TV episode on Fox in May 2014. It will apparently be quite similar to the Lego Star Wars specials.
